SPONSORSHIP FOR VISA PROCESSING Unlike the UK, which permits only parents to sponsor a student’s admission, Ireland permits all types of family members, both nuclear or extended. As long as proof of relationship is shown (such as a birth certificate), then any family member can be a sponsor for your studies. This is an opportunity for you as a prospective Ireland students that makes it possible to successfully study, as you do not have to wait until you have saved up enough funds before you can travel for your studies. PERMANENT RESIDENCY You are entitled to a 2-years post-study work permit after your master’s program in Ireland and there are a lot of jobs for students. After this permit ends, you are allowed to apply for a work visa as long as you have a permanent job. In the UK an employment letter from a licensed organisation must be provided and the organisation must file a Certificate of Sponsorship request before a student can be considered for a work visa, however, this does not apply in Ireland. To apply for a work visa in Ireland all you need to provide is your offer letter from the organisation where you work, the organisation does not need to request a certificate of sponsorship. After being in Ireland for more than 5years, moving from a study visa to a work visa, you can go ahead to apply for permanent residency. TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES With an Irish student visa, you have the opportunity to take trips to countries that are within the European Union. Since you are entitled to work while you school, you can have travel adventures and experiences, using the money you have earned. You can do all these with your Irish student visa.
