A picture that reads How to Avoid Student Visa Denial? by a study abroad agency known as Negxy Concept to ensure a successful visa process

How to Avoid UK Student Visa Denial?

HOW TO AVOID UK STUDENT VISA DENIAL? Any prospective student seeking to study in another country must obtain a student visa from that country. For prospective UK students to have a successful visa process and avoid UK student visa denial, they must follow the rules and regulations laid down by the UK government. Disobeying these rules and processes, alongside not providing necessary documents can lead to a visa denial.   REASONS FOR A UK STUDENT VISA DENIAL  Failure to meet the UK student visa rules can result in unsuccessful visa processing and visa denial, which is quite discouraging especially when a student has high expectations after gaining admission from their desired school. To avoid a UK student visa denial and ensure a successful visa process, a student needs to know the reasons behind why one can be denied a UK student visa. Below are reasons for a UK student visa denial that prospective students should be aware of before beginning their visa process, to have a successful visa process. Incomplete Documents:  Some students present incomplete documents during their visa processing, this can lead to visa denial as complete documentation during visa processing is one of the rules while applying for a visa. Documents such as CV, Valid passport, Birth Certificate, Admission Letter,  Passport photographs, 0-level certificate, BSc Transcripts & Certificate, Bank Statement, Visa Form, Payment of Visa and IHS fees and all required documents must be presented during visa processing. Insufficient Funds: Presenting a bank statement during a visa processing is not all that matters, one needs to ensure that the cost of living and school fees is present in the bank account that is presented. If these fees are not present in the bank account, the student will be seen to have insufficient funds and this can lead to a visa denial.  Therefore the bank statement should show proof of funds, that can take care of him or herself and pay their tuition fee while studying in the UK. Gap years: If a student has not done anything productive or cannot show that he/she has done something fruitful either after their bachelor’s degree or years after ending a certain career, then they may have a high chance of getting a visa denial. Gap years should be justified and backed up to avoid UK student visa denial Lack of proper interview skills: Prospective study abroad students need to be fully prepared before going for a visa interview. At Negxy Concept Limited we have prepared some mock questions (Possible questions asked during a visa interview) for our students, to help them know what to say, how to act and interact with the interviewer, to fully prepare them for their visa interview.  Without these preparations, a student may lack the interview skills that are required and this can lead to a student visa denial. English Language proficiency:  Since the UK is an English-speaking country, students are required to provide either a pass in their senior secondary school English result or an English Level Test. Providing these is the only way to assess a students English Level skills and ensure that they have a high level of English Language proficiency to avoid the risk of getting a student visa denial.   HOW TO AVOID UK STUDENT VISA DENIAL Provide all Documents: During a visa process, while a student is submitting all the required documents, they should ensure that they submit the original documents, instead of copies/photocopies or printouts. Possess good Interview Skills: During a visa interview, students must be as natural as they can, answer all questions in English and ensure that they provide accurate pieces of information, to ensure that they have a successful visa process. Provide Proof of Funds: At Negxy Concept Limited we always advise our students to make use of a commercial bank account for their proof of funds and ensure that their bank statement is presented in the correct format. Also, moving heavy funds from the bank account would lead to a reduction in the amount required as proof of funds, therefore it should be avoided. Present an appropriate Bank Statement: Avoid the risk of getting a student visa denial by providing a bank statement of  28 continuous days and not submitting a bank statement that is more than 31 days old Availability: Not responding to email or telephone queries from the visa office can lead to a visa denial. During the visa process until after the student visa is granted, students are advised to be available and stay in touch at all times.   WHAT TO DO AFTER A VISA DENIAL  If a student receives a UK visa denial and they are still interested in going to study their desired course in the university of their choice, they should be aware that their admission still holds and therefore they can defer the admission until the next university intake. What they need to do after getting a visa denial is to find out the reason for the denial and make more google research or better still contact our agents to ensure that the same mistake does not occur during their next visa application. If the cause of the visa denial was due to an incomplete document, they must ensure they provide all the necessary documents required before applying again, and if it was because of insufficient funds, they must ensure they have sufficient funds before making another application. At Negxy Concept Limited, our goal is to assist students not just during their admission processing but also in their visa processing. We give the best services to our students and ensure that their dream of travelling abroad for their studies is actualized. Student Dependant Visa: The Best Country to Travel to with your Family

STUDENT DEPENDANT VISA: THE BEST COUNTRY TO TRAVEL TO WITH YOUR FAMILY One should not give up on their desire to study abroad because they are either married with kids or they are a single parent, this should not stop a person from advancing their career. There are several opportunities for one to professionally build his/her career and this can be done while travelling with family members such as parents, spouses or children using a student dependant visa. As a parent, your children look up to you, so you should teach them to be ambitious, hardworking and focused and help them build a better life and aspire for a brilliant career. This can be done with a dependant visa.   WHAT IS A DEPENDANT VISA? A dependent visa is a kind of visa that allows prospective study abroad students to travel with their spouse or their children to the country of their choice and study at the university they desire. By doing this, you will not only be on your way to building a successful career but you will also be helping your children or spouse lead a better life. During the process of getting a dependant visa, a prospective student is known to be the primary applicant and the family members are known as the dependants. With a dependant visa, the dependants can:  Stay with the primary applicant/family. Travel and explore Study (in some cases) Work (in some cases) The different types of dependent visas are: Temporary visa Permanent visa A Temporary dependant visa enables the spouse of the primary applicant to work (with limited capacity), it also enables the children of the primary applicant to study, as long as they are below 17years. A permanent dependent visa enables the dependants of the primary applicant to become permanent residents. This can only be possible if the dependants have lived in the country for more than 5 years.   THE REQUIREMENTS Valid passport Proof that your relationship is genuine. (Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, Photo Album etc) Original birth certificate Evidence of meeting the financial requirement (Proof of funds) for each dependant Properly filled visa application form. Proof of Visa fee etc   CONDITIONS NEEDED TO GET A DEPENDANT VISA FOR COUNTRIES LIKE  CANADA, IRELAND, THE USA AND THE UK A Student who intend to study in the US or who is already studying in the US can bring their families to live with them as they study. The family member is required to provide both their valid and expired international passport, multiple proofs of their relationship with the primary applicant (the student). Like a Marriage certificate, Wedding invitations and cards, Birth certificate, photos or Weddig album. There are different types of US dependant visas some of which permit a dependant to work while other types restrict them from working while in the US as a dependant. To get a Canadian dependant visa, the family members are required to take an English Level Test and provide other important documents like documents containing proof of relationship with the primary applicant before a dependant visa can be granted. Fortunately, dependants are permitted to work in Canada with a Canadian dependant visa. A student with plans to study in Ireland should be aware that they are not allowed to travel with their family members while studying in Ireland, as their families are expected to make their own Visa applications. However, prospective study abroad students are permitted to travel with their families if they intend to study a PhD program in Ireland. The United Kingdom can be said to be the best country where prospective students with a UK Student visa can get a dependent visa for their family to travel with them as they go for their studies abroad. The UK student dependant visa is known to make travelling with your family fast and easy. A valid international passport for identification, marriage certificate and birth certificate is enough for proof of relationship between the dependant and the primary applicant, the dependant can work with a dependant visa while in the UK, the dependant is not required to write an English Level Test to apply for a UK dependant visa. Covid 19 Update for International Students in the UK

COVID 19 UPDATE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN THE UK   COVID 19 VACCINATION IN THE UK The recent Covid 19 update in UK universities, which is the opening of Covid 19 vaccination centres on campuses, makes certain that international students are well protected as they begin their studies in the UK.  In the year 2019, a deadly virus emerged, this virus killed many and caused a general lockdown. Public places, schools, organizations in the UK and around the world were put on lockdown as a way to curb the spread of this deadly virus. Citizens were advised to sit at home and no movement was permitted.  Its been over a year since the virus emerged and organizations, public places and schools have gradually begun to open, especially since the Covid 19 vaccine was established. In addition to the preventive measures of staying at least 1 metre away from others, covering a cough or sneeze in your elbow, frequently cleaning your hands, wearing a mask and avoiding poorly ventilated rooms or opening a window, Covid 19 vaccines were established to prevent people from getting seriously ill and dying from this deadly virus.  A new semester is approaching for universities in the UK, which is the September intake, and the UK government has ensured that universities implement Covid 19 safety measures and are looking to vaccinate students despite the impact of Corona Virus in the UK, to help the universities properly function after over a year of disruption and are hoping to keep online-only courses to a minimum.  Although it’s a personal choice, International students are strongly encouraged to take up the opportunity to get vaccinated against COVID 19, to protect themselves and those around them, both within the university environment and while with their family and friends and also, keep up with Covid 19 update to stay safe.     OPENING OF VACCINATION CENTRES ON CAMPUSES IN UK UNIVERSITIES As restrictions gradually ease and schools begin to open, universities in the UK find it imperative for vaccination to be made easy and convenient for students as the more students are vaccinated, the more transmission can be reduced.  Universities in the UK have begun setting up their own Covid 19 vaccination centres and facilities including pop-up clinics and NHS vaccine buses, in an attempt to make campuses as safe as possible for the autumn term (September Intake). Universities like The University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol and Kingston University in south London have already opened campus vaccination centres, the University of Stirling in Scotland opened a centre to students on Saturday the 14th of August, other universities, including Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham and Portsmouth have confirmed they are in discussions about setting up vaccination services.  These centres will be run and staffed by the NHS, however, universities are offering to train students to volunteer in them.    The NHS stands for the National Health Service. It refers to Government-funded medical and health care services. Universities in the UK are willing to work with NHS to train students as volunteers.    Contact our counsellors to get more information about the opening of vaccine centres in universities in the UK    Negxy Concept Limited is a study abroad agency in Lagos with over 5000 successful admissions and visas under her belt. A picture that reads, university intakes in the UK. For International students who wish to study abroad in the UK

University Intakes in the UK

UNIVERSITY INTAKES IN THE UK    Studying abroad in the UK is one of the best ways for prospective study abroad students to acquire global skills and open up professional opportunities. It is life-changing for many students because it introduces them to new cultures, promotes understanding and enables them to have access to other people and build relationships. Study abroad in the UK and achieve quality education, health benefits, post-study work permit, opportunity to explore other countries, shorter course duration and much more. Expose yourself by studying in the UK and thinking more creatively and flexibly to gain great career fields and achieve your life goal.  However, for a student who wants to study abroad in the UK, the first thing they should look into is the university intake, as getting an education in the UK requires strategic planning and without this planning, the student may get rejected and lose all of the benefits. Avoid rush hour and missing out on the university application deadline by beginning your application process early, according to the university intake of your choice.  UK universities offer three intakes which are: September Intake January Intake  May Intake    SEPTEMBER INTAKE  This intake is the Primary Intake for universities in the UK, it begins in September and runs till December. September is the most popular intake for international students due to the following reasons: A wide variety of courses are offered. Gives students enough time to familiarize themselves with the environment and other conditions. Greater opportunities for funding such as scholarships. UK has the largest number of internship opportunities. Greater number of applicants  The UK has the most competitive compared to other European countries.   The application deadline for the September intake is July. Meaning that by July universities in the UK stop accepting applications for students with the intent to study for the September intake. Within the periods of  March, April, May and June international students are expected to complete the Admission/ Visa process.    JANUARY INTAKE This intake is the Secondary intake for universities in the UK, it begins in January and runs till May, students who missed the September intake will get the chance to apply for the January intake. Students with the intention to go for the January intake should be aware of the following features and benefits.  Does not offer as many courses as the September intake A greater chance of getting an offer  The number of international applications during this period is less, compared to the September Intake because of the winter climate  A student gets more time to work on their application if they miss the September The application deadline for the January intake is September/October. Meaning that by October universities in the UK stop accepting applications for International students with the intent to study for the January Intake.  Within the periods of June, July, August and September, students are expected to complete the Admission/ Visa process and await their departure dates for their studies in the UK.    MAY INTAKE  This intake is the least preferred university intake in the UK, it begins in May and runs till August For students with the intentions to go for their studies during the May intake, they should be aware of the following advantage and disadvantages:  It is offered by a few universities It has the least options of courses During this period students prefer to take a spring break than go to classes The number of international applicants is very small Competition is the least intense during the May Intake There is an enhanced chance of getting an offer   THE BEST INTAKE FOR YOU A handful of UK universities offer a good number of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses during September Intake, therefore the September intake is undeniably the most popular among international students. However, it will be unwise not to explore your options for January and May intake, especially if you need more time to work on your application.  A student who wishes to know the best university intake for their studies in the UK should make a decision based on the following: Past academic performance Test scores The university and preferred course Availability for the course The acceptance rate of the Intakes and university of choice (the rate at which applicants are accepted.).   REQUIREMENTS NEEDED BEFORE THE START OF A UNIVERSITY INTAKE A student who wishes to study in the UK is expected to complete their application/visa processes within a time frame of 4 to 5 months, before the application deadline of the university intake of their choice.  The application and UK student visa requirements are as follows   Application Requirements Gather all the documents needed  Apply for a university in the UK at our agency  Write an English Level Test if required.  Payment of Tuition deposit and provision of the bank statement Apply for a CAS (Confirmation for Acceptance of studies) and fill out the pre CAS form   Visa Requirements  Run a Tuberculosis test Pay for IHS and Visa fee Prepare and attend the UK student visa interview   Contact our counsellors today! for detailed information on the different university intakes in the UK and also get guidelines on how to go about your application and visa process.    Negxy Concept Limited is a study abroad agency in Lagos with over 5000 successful admissions and visas under her belt. The following are the duration time that each application step takes before admission is granted.  Apply for a university in the UK at our agency and await a response from the school within 48 hours – 12 weeks.  After the application process, a response will be sent from the university, stating whether he/she has been granted an offer or not.  However, there are 2 types of offers A conditional offer An unconditional offer   A conditional offer A student that has been granted admission with the condition to provide certain documents or write an English level test will receive a conditional offer.  Students with a conditional offer to provide a document like a transcript, degree certificate, Academic reference are expected to get the document available at least within a week.    Those students who have been requested to present an English Level Test for their application would have to write either an IELT, a TOEFL or an internal English test and await the result within 14 working days.    An unconditional offer A student that has been granted admission with no conditions will receive an unconditional offer. Students in this category can go ahead to request a CAS and apply for a VISA. After an unconditional offer has been granted, payment of Tuition deposit and provision of the bank statement must be made before a student can request for a CAS (Confirmation for Acceptance of studies). Payment of tuition deposit at the bank with a ‘form A’ takes at least 2weeks, also, payment made through wired transfer takes at least 1 week.    A bank statement of 28 days should be provided by prospective UK students. However, Providing a statement of account (Bank Statement) might require one to gradually build their account within a few days or weeks in order to meet up with the stipulated amount which should contain the cost of living in the UK and the balance of the tuition fee.   After a student has been granted an unconditional offer, made a tuition deposit and provided a 28 days bank statement, the student can go ahead to request CAS (Confirmation for Acceptance of Studies) and fill out the pre CAS form. Some schools in the UK demand an interview before a CAS can be issued, this is called a Pre-CAS interview while some do not. After a student has applied for CAS, the certificate will be granted within 0 – 2 weeks.    VISA PROCESSING STAGE Contact us at Negxy Concept Limited today, to get your Visa process started. To know the required documents needed for visa processing,  Read through our previous blog post titled ‘ UK Student Visa Requirements; What to do after getting an admission in the UK’  The date for issuance of the TB (Tuberculosis) test varies, however, the test can be done within one week to one month and the result will be out immediately. It is important to note that the test result is valid for 6 months.   Payment of IHS (International Health Surcharge) and Visa fees can be made immediately. UK Student Visa will be granted within 1 to 2 weeks after Visa Interview has been made.    Students with the intention to study abroad in the UK should be aware of the duration of time that each step and stage an admission process takes and learn how to manage and work with the different time frames to meet up with the UK Visa and Application deadlines.    ADVANTAGE OF AN EARLY ADMISSION PROCESS Begining an early admission process gives a prospective study abroad student the opportunity to successfully travel abroad for his or her studies as the student will have a great chance of avoiding delays that may appear during both the application and Visa processes. The student will also have enough time to provide all the necessary documents that are required to meet up the UK University application deadline, successfully process their admission and travel for their studies.    CONSEQUENCES OF A LATE ADMISSION PROCESS Not getting an admission (offer) Losing an offer: This can be either because of late tuition deposit payment or late provision of the necessary documents.  Missing out on the resumption date due to the delay in the application process (Therefore the student must defer their admission until the next intake)    Contact our counsellors for more detailed information on the UK University application deadline how to successfully go through the admission and visa processing to the UK and Ireland today!  Negxy Concept Limited is a study abroad agency in Lagos with over 5000 successful admissions and visas under her belt. Great Career Fields for the Future

GREAT CAREER FIELDS FOR THE FUTURE.   There are a good number of great career fields for the future, those careers to watch out for that are likely to be the highest paying professions in years to come.  THE GUIDING LIGHT, HEROES AND LEGENDS.  At the ending of the 18th century, there was a boom in Europe and the United States, before the mid 19th century, it had spread all over the world, this boom is known as the industrial revolution.  The Industrial Revolution transformed from the old manufacturing processes like hand production methods to new manufacturing processes like machines. This revolution gave rise to others of its kind, like the technological revolution and the artistic revolution.  However, the main question is, would there have been a revolution without heroes, legends, and people that laid a pathway, a guiding light to a better world?    INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION  Have you ever imagined a world without machines or devices, a world with no source of technology? I can presume your answer to be no but guess what? This has only become possible because people like us had the desire to make the world a better place and they were born at the right time.    James D Rockefeller John Davison Rockefeller was born on July 8, 1839, and is known to be the wealthiest American of all time. He ran a business in oil refining and successfully founded the Standard Oil Company, Rockefeller gained enormous influence over the railroad industry which transported his oil around the country.   Andrew Carnegie  Andrew Carnegie was born on November 25th 1834, he is known to be one of the richest Americans in history, he led the expansion of the American steel industry.   One cannot talk about the industrial revolution without mentioning the likes of James D Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie as they were part of the prominent revolutionist of the period.  They were born between the year 1834 and 1839, and they grew during the period where there was greater economic progress through the use of railways, cheaper steel, and the increased use of steam engines.  Before this period there was limited use of steam engines as it was largely water-powered machines that were in use, but between the years of 1867 and 1914, there was a built out of railroads, large-scale iron and steel production which led to the use of steam engines, this was a better and a faster method for industries than the water-powered machines which could only be located near water. Although John D Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie were both born into a poor home, they took advantage of the time in which there were born and got involved in the development of steam engines which contributed to the Economic, Technological and Social advancement of the society.      TECHNOLOGICAL REVOLUTION Following the rise of the Industrial Revolution is the technological revolution which resulted in an accelerated technological and digital advancement. After the invention of devices and systems, technological geniuses who were born into this era like the likes of Steve Jobs, Bill Joy, Bill gate amongst others, transformed society with their digital skills which led to rapid growth in productivity.    Steve Jobs  Steve Jobs born on February 25 1955, was the chairman, CEO and co-founder of Apple Inc. He is also widely recognized as a pioneer of the personal computer revolution along with his early business partner and fellow Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.   Bill Gate Bill Gate born in the year October 28 1955, is the co-founder of the largest personal computer software company, a multinational technology company known as Microsoft.  They were both born in the year 1955 and were fortunate to have been schooling just when the time-sharing computers started surfacing. Time-sharing systems could multiprogram and multi-tasks, unlike the previous systems that could only do one thing at a time and made coding very cumbersome, tiring and frustrating. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates fell in love with the Time-sharing systems, as it was easy to use at the time and it helped them to get their projects done faster and better. Imagine someone before this era being a tech billionaire, it makes sense? (Nigerian Lingo for asking if something makes sense).   PECULIAR EVENTS IN THIS AGE AND TIME A major US oil company suffered a cyberattack and a Ransome of $5m dollars was demanded, which they had to pay.  There have been several other incidences like this and such cases seem to be on the rise, meaning more work for those in this career field of Cyber Security. This career is and promises to be a high paying career in the future due to the high demand to fight against internet hackers as technology continues to grow.    Elon Musk, the CEO and Product Architect of Tesla, Inc is making space travel possible with his spacecraft company known as SpaceX. Also, Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon recently announced that he will be travelling to space on July 20th, 2021 he owns a space company called ‘Blue Origin’.  This could only mean more work for Aerospace Engineers, Astrologist and those in related fields. These are great careers to look out for in the future.    A lot of businesses are going digital daily and are beginning to need a different kind of marketing, meaning more work for digital marketers, coders, and others in the digital field. Take advantage of this opportunity and build a career based on its demand in society as that will ensure a great career field for the future.   Other fields that recent trends have shown may be the next big things are; Robotics Project Management Digital Content Creating and other related career fields.    LEVERAGING THIS OPPORTUNITY AS A STUDENT.  It is the 21st Century and the revolution has skyrocketed, with a solid foundation built in numerous career fields for students to get a promising profession for the future.  Ask yourself this, are you taking advantage of the period

How to Write a Personal Statement for a Master’s Programme

HOW TO WRITE A PERSONAL STATEMENT FOR A MASTER’S PROGRAMME A personal statement, also known as the statement of purpose is a special type of essay that supports your application to study at a university. It is a statement of scholarly interests and should include specific personal information about yourself, information relating to your desires toward choosing a specific course. Your personal statement should demonstrate why you are a good candidate that should get admission for a Master’s programme at your preferred university. To do so, you’ll need to write a brief essay about your experience, motivation and your previous accomplishments, with real examples and proof demonstrating who you are as a student and why you’re a good fit for the degree you’ve chosen.   QUESTIONS THAT MAY HELP YOU PLAN YOUR PERSONAL STATEMENT. Your personal statement is an invitation to the admission committee to get to know who you are; it should also be the result of a self-reflection. When writing a personal statement, you are taking the time to find out who you are and what your future aspirations should be — both in terms of what you want to study and what you want to do after graduation. Questions like this should be addressed in your personal statement:       Why do you want to study a Master’s program and how will you benefit from it?       How well does the course match your abilities?       Why would you like to study in a specific country?       How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd – for example, by work experience?       In your future career, what do you want to be/do?   What contribution may your work provide to the department/university/society? Why would you like to study in a specific school, amongst other schools that are also offering the same course?   Also, if you’re applying for a subject that isn’t in the same field as your undergraduate degree, explain why you want to change your major. Consider the following:     How your undergraduate degree will help you bring new perspectives to your course     The reasons behind your decision to switch fields of study How altering your course of study will benefit your future career   HOW TO WRITE A PERSONAL STATEMENT. STRUCTURE  LANGUAGE   STRUCTURE The structure of a personal statement must contain the following information   Have a compelling middle section and conclusion, as well as an eye-catching and fascinating introduction.   Have an introduction that serves as a framework for the rest of your statement, with the main body explaining your interests, experience, and knowledge.    It should contain a minimum of 500 words   Have no more than 25-30 words in each sentence       The conclusion should summarize your important ideas, reflect on your major achievements, and clearly demonstrate your desire to learn.   Example: INTRODUCTION I am a graduate who wishes to further her studies in the field of English Literature. I’ve always been fascinated by a writer’s creativity, which leads me to believe that English is the best degree to study at the university. My love for English has only grown over the years, and my ability and dedication to study will be of great service during my time at university   CONCLUSION I approach literature with unrelenting zeal, which will undoubtedly enable me to enjoy the trials that lie ahead. With all of my future ambitions, being able to study at your university will provide a fantastic platform for me to achieve them. I hope that the information provided above justifies my position and aids you in making an informed conclusion.   LANGUAGE Your tone should be positive and enthusiastic. It should demonstrate your desire to learn as well as persuade the university that you have what it takes to succeed in one of their courses. You ought to:       Make use of compelling introductory paragraphs.       Make sure your grammar, punctuation, and spelling are correct.       Avoid exaggerated assertions and use plain language in short sentences.   Focus on the course.   Check out the video below to watch one of our live sessions with our admissions officers on the topic: How to write a personal statement.   Visit us or speak with our counsellors to get detailed information on how to write a personal statement for a master’s programme.    Negxy Concept Limited is a study abroad agency in Lagos with over 5000 successful admissions and visas under her belt.
