This is a scheme that permits individuals from Ukraine to join their family members in Uk. A new scheme however was also launched on Friday the 18th of March 2022, this scheme is known as, homes for Ukraine scheme. This is a scheme whereby Uk citizens or residents offer their homes to individuals from Ukraine, as a way of supporting them. These schemes were created as a reaction to the Ukraine invasion by the Russian government, a way to support Ukrainians during these tough times. A lot of Ukrainians have been rendered homeless and stranded. For the UK to prioritise the Ukraine Family Scheme and the homes for Ukraine Scheme applications, they had to suspend Priority and Super – Priority work, study and family visa applications in Nigeria.
